My Accomplishments

On Monday and Tuesday I did all my homework. Our whole class was told to write a report on a saint that our group was going to have. Our group got Saint Therese of Liseiux. She was a wonderful woman that was really into God. But sadly died. She was a person that became a nun because she promised God that if she really loved him, she would serve him. I’m glad Mrs. Martin assigned this project because I really learned a lot from my saint and it was interesting that I learned a lot. Though I hope I really get a really good grade on it because our teacher gave us the assignment on very short notice. I also learned a lot about Saint Therese’s life and how much she loved God. I’m glad that I wrote a report on saint Therese.

Saudi Arabia: More oil flowing?

Pressure from the U.S. and fears that soaring energy prices are hurting the global economy are forcing Saudi Arabia. They are forcing Saudi Arabia to consider significantly boosting oil production. The Saudis according to The Middle East economic survey, might be increasing more in a sizable additional increase in oil production. An announcement on possible measures to bring down prices that have reached nearly $140 a barrel is expected later this month. President Bush is making more oil available, saying that markets should dictate production levels. But many costs have since dramatically climbed. Rising prices have shaken the world, gas in the U.S. has reached as high as $4.43 which have been creating anger and panic among drivers. The kingdom produces about 9.45 million barrels of oil a day which the nation was considering raising that by about 500,000 barrels. That effects me because that has been happening to us and the U.S also and gas prices here in the U.S have also increased more and if it keeps on happening, we will run out of money for paying to much and then we wouldn’t be able to have a better shelter, like buying food.

Afghan general: Politics needed to end War

Gen. Abdul Rahim Wardak said the idea that Afghanistan has to find political solutions to end the fighting has long been endorsed by President Hamid Karzai. They said that for a total solution they must work on different fronts; political economic and military. Economically, they must improve the lives of the people, help find them work. Politically, they need to to reach a middle ground and have everyone accept the Afghan constitution. British commander who was quoted as saying that decisive military victory is impossible and that the Taliban may well be part of a long-term solution to the fighting. People kept on saying that they weren’t going to win this war but they also said that if they put a whole group together, they might win and the war.

Progress4

On October 20, 2008, me and my group were putting everything together and were making the designs which we were starting to finish but we basically couldn’t accomplish it all because we didn’t have any time but we almost finished. We also were figuring out what our picture was going to look like on our blue print for our Sumerian state. For example, would it have a bunch of houses, lakes or streams, a little swam meat, or would it have some places to grow crops or fruits so then they could trade with other people.

Progress3

On October 16 2008, I found out that summerians carried canals with water in it and got from a lake that would be near them.

Progress2

On Wendesday Octerber 15, 2008 I starded to take notes and I found out where the summerians got their water and what they ate.

On Tuesday Octerber 14, 2008 I started to find resouses on our third website.

Gas prices in Iran

In Oslo, Iran’s gas prices have been really high an people have been paying over $9.85 dollers and they have been hating that. In fact, at just over four bucks a gallon on average, U.S. gas is still cheap compared with much of the world. Many countries choose the former. In the U.S., state and local taxes account for about 19% of the price of the average gallon of gas, according to the Energy Information Administration. I think Iran’s gas prices shouldn’t be that high because it is too much money and if people keep on paying that much money, then it could affect their child’s education and they will run out of money.

Saudi Arabia history, government, and culture

http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0107947.html

On the article that I read was about Saudi Arabia and their government. Sandi Arabia’s government is about how they occupied most of the Arabian peninsula, with the Red Sea and the gulf of Aqaba. Saudi Arabia contains the worlds largest continuous sand desert. The gulf of Aqaba is to the west and the Persian gulf to the east. Saudi Arabia was an absolute monarchy until 1992, at which time the Saudi Arabia royal family introduced the countries first constitution. Saudi Arabia’s culture also had a catholic church. However they say that they build a catholic church in Saudi Arabia because more than 800,000 people are known as catholic’s. Saudi Arabia’s history is that is not only the homeland of the Arabs people it is thought that the first Arabs originated on the Arabian it is that it also brings the homeland of Islam. Muhammad founded Islam there, and it is the the location of the two holy pilgrimage cities of Mecca and Medina.
