Iran’s Politics Stand in the Way of a Nuclear Deal

This article was based on Cairo.  Iran’s leadership has once again equivocated after agreeing to a deal that would ease its nuclear standoff with the West. Tehran has yet to state publicly why it objects to the deal, which has not publicity announced why this happened. It would ship its low-enriched uranium out of the country for additional processing and eventual return as fuel rods for a civilian reactor.  many people like experts in Iran say that nature of the debate in Iran over the proposed nuclear deal suggests that the deep divisions cemented by the summer’s disputed. Which means health problems can happen to others if the nuclear deal doesnt work well. 

This effects me and my community a lot because it shows me how much offer in this community in Iran has to put in its government. The governments problem with the nuclear deal is causing a bad moment to millions and millions of people. And this is putting a lot of pressure to the people.

Yemen’s North Hit by Bloodiest Fighting in Years

The Yemeni Army fought back a major offensive by rebels in the northern city of Sadah early Sunday morning, killing dozens of insurgents, witnesses and Yemeni officials said. The battle appears to have been the boldest rebel attack yet in five weeks. Yemen’s government for five years, and the latest round of fighting, which erupted last month after a yearlong cease-fire, has been the bloodiest so far. The attack started just before dawn on a Sunday, people say that hundreds of Houthi rebels ambushed three military checkpoints and tried to take othe place of the presidential palace in Sadah, the provincial capital. The Sadah conflict has underscored the vulnerability of Yemen. This particular country has goten realy poor and is also facing a separatist movement in the south and a resurgent presence of Al Qaeda.

Pressure mounts for Afghan election runoff

        The U.S. urges President Hamid Karzai to accept a U.N.-backed panel’s decision to throw out hundreds of thousands of ballots. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says she’s encouraged. He says that he will no longer accept ellection votes. Reporting from Kabul, a United Nations-backed panel Monday tossed out hundreds of thousands of ballots cast inAfghan President Hamid Karzai.  Election observers said the new figures dictated that a runoff election should take place and that there should be a run-off election. Observers want this to happen because the investigators think he did not attain the majority needed for him to win his first election for its round. This  runoff has its challenger. While Abdullah renewed demands for a runoff vote. Many Afghans are not agreeing on this and are saying that there is nothing wrong with voting. The government should really change because this president has got some major PROBLEMS!!

Flooding Kills at Least 31 in Turkey

Flash floods killed at least 31 people in and around Istanbul on Wednesday, the government said, as the area continued to struggle with its heaviest rainfall in 80 years. The water rose very quick and people couldn’t do anything much. After just a few hours of heavy rain, water had covered the city’s low-lying areas,  the primary highways connecting the city center, and the main airport. Drivers who were caught, by the heavy rains told the semiofficial Anatolian News Agency that the fast-rising waters were strong enough that they could push heavy trucks off the road and many other buses on the road. Many people were injured and had to go imidietly to the hospital. A news station showed a video of people running and climbing on top of vehicles and trees in order to escape the rising waters which came in like a second or two. Twenty-six people were killed in central Istanbul, and five people died in an outlying area of the city. Nine of the people were missing around the city.

This affects me and my community because a lot of these floods make huge disasters  around the global world, but this article shows me and tells me that we should always be careful and prepared at many times just incase because you never really know.

The Tree of Life: Cold Start?

One surprise in the tree was the appearance of bacteria that thrive in high temperatures , near or at the root of the tree. This scientist says this tree has bacteria cells. This basic tree has led to speculation that can originate in very hot environments. In cold temperatures it stay steady. The speculation that life arose in a hot environment have become widely accepted among researchers, and have taken on the status of the origin of life. The bacteria has shown that it wouldn’t adapt to the cold, only the warmth. This kinda goes with what topic we are learning because of how other cells react to different things they are not really used to. This was interesting because the different temperatures can be a different way of reacting and what their response is.

Iranian Students Stage 2nd Big Protest Since Returning to University Campuses

          Students at one of Iran’s largest universities staged an antigovernment protest on Tuesday, the second big demonstration at a major university in two days. Government efforts say student leaders have not been entirely successful. Over 1,000 students demonstrated at Sharif University in Tehran. They protested a visit by the minister of science and higher education, Kamran Daneshjoo, who helps students higher in their education. All protesters carried colored ballons such as green with ribbons as a symbol of the protest movement since the disputed June 12. This represents when the presidential election started and which banners read ” The University is still alive” acoridding to the website which Kamran D. made to help students.

Yes, We Speak Cupcake – Middle East

       As a younge student tastes a cupcake, it changes his life. When he tasted a vanilla-frosted vanilla cupcake from the Magnolia Bakery in Greenwich Village in 2004, it changed his life. He quit his marketing job at Unilever and used his savings to enroll in a baking company and culinary management program at the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan. This happened and he did this because supposably he says the cupckae came to life and some other stuff. But not only did that changed his life. It aslo changed because when he tried his first cupcake, he wanted to make his own shop of  a cupckae beakery. In JUly 2007, he opened his first cupcake company(shop). In Amman, Jordan where he opened Sugar Daddy’s, the shop that brought the cupcake craze to the Middle East and to all their people. Now its called ” Sugar Daddy’s bakery”. Many people from other countries have tried tese deliciouse cupcakes and have heared comments that their cupkaes are the best. He has shown proof in the world that he can make deliciouse cupcakes and that anyone can cook. Now his shop sells yummmy yummmy cheesecakes, brownies, and other yummy bakes that other bakery shops have. He is now glad to have his own bakery shop!!!! Yeah for him. !

Middle East In North Iraq-Sep 21,09

       North Iraq was bombed by huge explosives leaving people greatly injured and 25 people dead.  Some kind of person di it by assuming someone else did it. According to Kurdish officials, the bomb was so powerful that it flattened a dozen of millions of houses. Many people were up all night pulling victims from the huge incident and treated the 43 people who were wounded to a hospital or medical care.

Police shooting sparks riots in Greece

        It had been said that 2 police have been arrested for killing a young boy, 15 years of age. When this news had spread  hundreds of youth took to the streets burning scores of shops, cars and businesses while throwing fire bombs and stones at riot police, who responded with tear gas. At least six people were arrested in Athens for destroying things.  The violence spread to other cities on Sunday, including Greece’s second-largest city, Thessaloniki, as well as Chania on the island of Crete. It remained unclear Sunday night whether authorities would move to storm the state university, a move forbidden by Greek law after military tanks in 1973 rammed the gates of the school to quash a student uprising against the then-ruling military junta. At least 22 civilians died in that attack, which is marked every year by youth-led marches that occasionally turn violent. According to the police, the two police officers were driiving in theor car, patrolling when their car had been stopped 30 youths, many of them throwing stones, at about 9 p.m. Both officers got out of the car to confront the crowd, “firing three shots that resulted in the death of the minor”!

        I think its really sad that the officers killed the minor, because they shouldn’t  have done that.. HE’S TOO YOUNG! They should of arrested him instead! Because hes the one saying that he hates people and besides hes the one who killed him!!!!! POOR BABY!!!!!! But still thats why you dont get involve with those problems and get the police upset, because then you can get hurt, arrested, hit, betten up, bullied, or even DIE! Because there is a girl at my class wo is very violence there are two of those girls nad if you get invovled with their personeal problems, they’ll bully you hahaha thats mean but you can alwways tell on THEM!!!

Sri Lanka vanquishes the Tamil Tigers! Victory!!! 5/19

       OMG! Have you seen people attacking tigers with their hands well guess what this article is going to tell you all about it. This men saw tigers in their backyard and were all surrounded. What a scary moment for them because no one would be that brave to do that u could get killed. Wow this article really surprised me. Sri Lanka claims their victory in a quarter-century war that cost 70, 000 lives. That’s more than since January that cost 7, 000 lives. This was the worst war they ever had. They had many suicide bombers, politicians, and child soldiers. The last days of the war and the rebel leader Velupillai prabhakaran and his crew died. Sri Lankan government defeated those nasty rebels using a hardware. China, India, and Israel all supported and gave into this war. Sri Lanka struggled and fought for independence and peace for their country. 265 ,00 people all helped in this crucial war by fighting, their lands in ruin. The Red Cross is helping all the people of Sri Lanka who suffered in the war by providing water, food, and shelter for the people. 

      This article was interesting to me because many different countries suported Sri Lanka and helped them during the war. I mean who in this world would be so brave to do this. Also it’s sad that Sri Lanka uses child as  soldiers for the war.

This article affects me and my community becuase it’s sad just to hear that there is a war happening somewhere in the world. Then people die because they dont like eachother or sumthin gosh. Can’t people just have peace between each other they have better brains and if i were in those peoples shoes i would definetly be brave and make a speech coming out of my own words with no paper i mean it was enough with the world war 2 now can this EVER STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
